The latest single from Albuquerque's Indigenous inspirited rock band follows the release of the band's debut album, Under The Sun.
Following the release of their debut album, Under The Sun, earlier this spring, Albuquerque-based Indigenous inspirited band First Floor Highway returns with Bring The Ruin, a powerful new single that continues the band's signature brand of Indigenous inspirited rock 'n' roll.
Exploring the moments when everything familiar falls away, "Bring The Ruin" is a song about people who know they're terrible for each other but can't quite stop coming back, and a reckoning that sometimes the only way forward is through the ruin itself. Equal parts introspective and defiant, the single reflects the resilience, hope, and determination that have become hallmarks of First Floor Highway's songwriting.
Led by enrolled Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa member Jordan O. James, First Floor Highway continues to create music that is modern, melodic, and unapologetically familiar. Building on the momentum of Under The Sun, the band remains committed to honoring the past while continuing to expand the boundaries of its own signature Indigenous inspirited rock 'n' roll sound.
